The most common questions we get from our clients
Prep is Everything!
The most important thing to know: your spray tan results depend on how well you prepare before your appointment.
If you arrive without properly exfoliating—or if you have lotion or oil on your skin—your tan may develop unevenly, appearing blotchy, streaky, or lighter than expected. Please exfoliate thoroughly and come to your session with clean, product-free skin.
Your rinse time matters just as much! The timing we give you determines your final color. Please don’t rely on the mirror to decide when to rinse—what you’re seeing is just the bronzer, not your actual tan.
Trust the process—follow the prep, rinse when advised, and you’ll wake up bronzed, glowing, and gorgeous.
It is best to complete shaving 24 hours before your appointment however, you can shave 24 hours post rinse time.
For best results, we recommend scheduling all waxing and nail appointments at least 24 hours before your spray tan.
If that’s not possible, let your nail technician know to avoid exfoliating your hands and legs, and skip any lotions or oils during your service.
-
Polish changes and natural nail services are fine the same day.
-
If you wear gel, dip, or acrylics, those should be applied or removed before your tan. Soaking in acetone afterward can remove the color from your fingertips.
Important: Waxing on the day of your tan may prevent the solution from developing properly, and waxing after your tan can strip the color entirely.
Plan ahead so your glow stays flawless!
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after your spray tan before working out. While you can rinse at the advised time, your tan continues to develop during the full 24-hour window. Sweating too soon can cause uneven fading, streaking, or rub-off—especially in areas where there’s friction, like under sports bras or around socks.
If you’re a regular gym-goer, ask us about our sweat-proof tan option for longer-lasting results!
Pro tip: Lightly dusting powder on high-friction areas (like underarms, straps, and waistband lines) can help minimize wear once you’re cleared to get moving.
Prepping your skin is key to getting that flawless, long-lasting glow! Pop over to our Tan Care tab for all the must-do steps before your spray tan session.
We’re comfortable with whatever you’re comfortable with!
Some clients choose to go topless, some wear a two-piece or underwear, and others prefer to tan completely nude. The choice is entirely yours.
While the bronzer typically washes out of clothing, we recommend avoiding anything expensive, silky, or delicate—just in case. When in doubt, opt for dark, loose-fitting garments for your appointment.
Your comfort is our priority!
Absolutely—it’s so worth it! A spray tan gives you that sun-kissed glow from day one, without the sun damage.
We recommend scheduling your appointment the day before you leave. At your session, we’ll provide all the prep and aftercare details, along with curated products to help your glow last through every beach day and dinner out.
Want to extend your tan even longer? Be sure to ask about our tan extender at your appointment!

Our spray tans last 7-10 days if you follow our pre and post tan care instructions. We only use custom blended, high quality solutions. This is a guideline as everyone's skin is different, hormones and post tan activities play a huge role in how long it will last. A tan may develop differently during hormonal changes like ovulation, menstruation, pregnancy, and medications. If you do not prep properly, your tan may be streaky or patchy. It may also cause color to fade faster or produce lighter to no color at all. This is something we do not have any control over. Please read over the tan prep and follow the instructions we created that work best with our solutions.
Whomever! Any people under the age of 18 will have to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver.
Rapid solutions require 2-8 hours before a shower. Overnight solutions require you to wait 8-12 hours before a shower. We mainly use rapid solutions. Rapid solutions mean less time you have to worry about ruining your tan.
With the rapid, your desired darkness will ultimately determine how quickly you are able to rinse. If a dark tan is the goal, 5-8 hours will be required. If a medium tan is the goal, you will able to rinse sooner.
A regular studio tan takes 20-25 minutes. Please remove jewelry before your appointment time.

Congratulations! Check out our "bridal" tab under "services" for everything you need to know (and more) for the big day! We recommend brides book a trial no later than 3 weeks before their big day, in order to determine a specific color level for the big day!
We do! All of our spray tans are full body. We completely customize the tan to your needs. If you would prefer to not have your face tan, just let us know.
Mineral Oil: It is a petroleum based skin softener that not only strips your tan but also clogs your pores and has been known to have extreme effects on the skin. This is a common ingredient in cheap lotions. Clients will get longer wear from their spray tan by avoiding these tan stripping products.
Petrolatum: Also a petroleum based skin softener that clogs the pores and strips the tan. This is used much less than the Mineral Oil, but is prevalent in body butters and really rich body cream washes. It’s a cheap ingredient that doesn’t lock in moisture, but just makes your skin feel soft. Hydrated skin and soft skin are not always the same thing.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: Also known as SLS, this is the most common ingredient in body washes and bar soaps. It is a strong detergent that allows the product to lather well. It will strip your spray tan quickly.
If you have any specific questions about the products that you are using and if they will prevent you from having an amazing tan please contact me. My goal is for you to have that perfect tan that will last nicely up to a week with a nice even fade.
You will pay for your appointment at checkout. Please bring a form of payment to your session, as we will not use the card on file. We accept cash, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay for payment. If paying by cash, please have the exact amount.
Sunburns and spray tans don’t mix! If your skin is currently peeling or healing from a burn, a spray tan will highlight the peeling, resulting in an uneven, patchy appearance. If the sunburn is in one area, we can avoid spraying that area and spray everywhere else.
If you've recently had a burn, please let us know in advance so we can assess the situation and recommend the best plan for your skin.
Yes! One of the main ingredients in our solutions is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is a carbohydrate (monosaccharide sugar) compound approved by the FDA for use in externally applied sunless tanning solutions. It is usually derived from a vegetable source like beets or sugar cane.
Absolutely! We spray many mamas-to-be and encourage you to do anything that makes you feel glamourous during those long 9 months! If you’re nervous about booking an appointment, we suggest asking your OB as we aren’t medical professionals. However, we can tell you that not one OB has said no! We also offer extra safety precautions, such as nose filters, if you prefer.
Yep, that too! After your initial shower, you’re free to go about breastfeeding and pumping as normal. Luckily, our rapid solutions have a max processing time of 5 hours! If you’re unable to wait to feed or pump for 5 hours after your appointment, we’ll need to cover the area and we have multiple ways we can do that!
It will definitely help! We have a "tan line correction" add-on that you can add to any spray tan option (+$10) where we use a special gun to blend those stubborn tan lines away!
Make sure to let your spray tan artist know that you would like to add this to your appointment before the session begins!
Of course! You set the tone for your appointment and how dark you’d like to be!
We suggest wearing loose long pants and long sleeves immediately after and to sleep in the night of your tan! You may experience slight rub off from the cosmetic bronzers immediately after your tan, however, after your first shower, you should not experience any transfer to clothing. If you do experience slight color transfer, the tan will easily come out of your clothing in the washing machine.

DHA is the main ingredient in spray tans. DHA stands for dihydroxyacetone, which is a colorless sugar derived from raw sugar cane or fermented glycerin. DHA interacts with dead skin cells on the skin’s surface to darken it naturally. The skin begins to darken within 4-6 hours. The color will last for 5-7 days on average depending on cell turnover and after care products used.
The first DHA formula was developed in the 1970’s and the results came out orange. Today, spray tanning solutions have been developed to produce a natural-looking color and have an improved reaction with the skin.
There are two types of spray tan applications: cosmetic bronzers and clear. Cosmetic bronzers give an instant result and is similar to make-up and are designed to wash off in your first shower as the DHA darkens. The clear solution goes on your skin clear and it will take a few hours before your skin is darkened.
We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of $30. LAST MINUTE cancellations (same day cancels) will be charged the full session amount.
Monthly Members will follow this same policy, being charged their full service amount for no-shows and $20 for inadequate notice.
Any clients more than 5+ minutes late may be subject to rescheduling to avoid inconveniencing the appointment after you as each appointment is only 30 minutes
Spray tanning requires preparation prior to the service, so cancellations less than 12 hours beforehand greatly impair our ability to book your now open time slot. We know life happens, so please call us as soon as possible to see if we can squeeze you in elsewhere! We’re happy to do it!
All attempts to reschedule in a timely manner will be made. If we do not hear from you 15 or more minutes into your scheduled appointment time it is considered a “No-Show” and your card will be charged for 100% of the service scheduled.
